Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Life challenges us in many ways—through loss, conflict, transitions, or simply the stress of daily living. Counselling provides a safe space to process these experiences, understand yourself more deeply, and create healthier ways of relating.
Relationships are central to human wellbeing, and counselling helps you strengthen both your relationship with yourself and your relationships with others. Whether you’re working through conflict, separation, parenting challenges, or personal growth, having professional support makes the journey more manageable and meaningful.

Self-love and self-healing are important, but they can sometimes feel isolating or incomplete. A counsellor offers objective insight, evidence-based tools and a safe space to explore issues you may not be able to unpack on your own. My role is to help you understand the deeper “why” behind your struggles, especially when trauma or cultural influences are at play, so you can apply strategies that bring about meaningful, long-term change.

I provide counselling for individuals, couples, families, and professionals, with a strong focus on relationship wellbeing. My services include:
Couples and Relationship Counselling – including cross-cultural and intergenerational issues.
Pre-marital Workshops – designed for couples preparing for marriage or long-term commitment. These workshops focus on strengthening communication, exploring values, understanding conflict styles and building skills for resilience. They also highlight the importance of each partner’s relationship with themselves, so they can bring authenticity and self-awareness into the relationship.
Conscious Uncoupling Support – guiding couples through separation in a way that honours both partners, reduces conflict and focuses on building a respectful relationship with self and with each other. When children are involved, I help parents learn how to co-parent effectively and make child-focused decisions that prioritise stability, safety and wellbeing.
Family Therapy and Parenting Support – strengthening family bonds, addressing patterns that affect communication and connection.
Individual Counselling – for stress, anxiety, grief, trauma, life transitions and personal growth.
Pet Loss Grief Therapy – supporting individuals and families through the unique grief of losing a companion animal.
Identity and Self-Development Support – building self-awareness, self-compassion, and confidence.
Supervision for Counsellors – I offer professional supervision to counsellors and therapists. My supervision style is supportive, reflective, and growth-focused. I provide a safe space for practitioners to process their work, explore challenges and strengthen their skills. My approach integrates trauma-informed practice, cultural sensitivity and relational awareness. Encouraging supervisees to grow both professionally and personally.

I offer both in-person sessions (location dependent) and secure online counselling. This makes therapy accessible locally, across Australia, and internationally. Because of my multicultural background and international experience, I’m particularly skilled in supporting clients with migration stress, cross-cultural relationships and identity challenges.

The length of counselling depends on your goals and needs. Some clients attend a few sessions to work through a specific concern, while others engage in longer-term support to address deeper relational or trauma-based issues. On average, many clients attend 6–12 sessions, though some choose ongoing counselling as part of their continued growth and relationship development. We’ll work together to find the pace that suits you best.

What sets me apart is my focus on relationships, both the relationship you have with yourself and the relationships you build with others. I combine professional expertise with warmth, cultural sensitivity, trauma awareness and psychoeducation. My approach is relational, compassionate, and practical, helping clients not just “cope,” but to grow in meaningful and lasting ways.
I have worked internationally with clients from culturally diverse backgrounds, including those navigating resettlement, cultural identity and cross-cultural relationships. I understand how culture, tradition, intergenerational trauma and even cultural guilt can shape identity, relationships, and parenting. I also offer specialised services, such as pet loss grief therapy, recognizing how deeply the loss of a beloved pet can affect us.
Another unique focus of my work is psychoeducation. I help clients understand how the brain works—how trauma responses can shape our decisions, behaviours and relationships. By understanding these patterns, clients gain the tools to break cycles and create lasting change.
-
My vision is to empower people to build healthier, more authentic connections—with themselves and with others. I want clients to feel supported not just in healing from challenges, but also in learning and growing. Through psychoeducation, I aim to give people the knowledge and tools they need to understand their brains, their behaviours, and their relationships, so they can make choices that lead to lasting wellbeing.
-
My mission is to provide compassionate, culturally sensitive, trauma-informed counselling that honours each client’s story and background. I am committed to supporting individuals, couples and families through healing, growth and transformation. Whether navigating love, loss, parenting or separation. I help clients strengthen their relationship with self as the foundation for all other relationships.
